biography

Originally from Washington State, Alice Frampton moved to British Columbia, Canada in 1973. In 1999, after twenty-five years in the childcare field, she retired to write full time.

In January of 2000 she knew nothing of haiku, but luckily submitted some poems to Jim Kacian who extended his hand and became a teacher, mentor, inspiration, and friend.
