biography

Sue Mill lives in Brisbane, Australia, and has been writing haiku for about seven years. She does not remember what sparked her interest in haiku, but is forever grateful to the fellow haijin who first told her about the Shiki Internet Salon.

Sue has had work published in nine countries and writes free-style rather than the more regulated 5-7-5 format. She belongs to one haiku group, paperwasp, which meets monthly, as well as participating in on-line discussion groups. She greatly appreciates the feedback from both the face-to-face meetings and the internet haiku community. She has been runner up in a couple of competitions, as well as achieving several Commendeds and Highly Commendeds.

Sue is also involved with the Australian Haiku Society, HaikuOz.

Sue still prefers writing haiku to doing housework.
