As part of the release of haijinx I:2 (summer 2001), we offered t-shirts of the "fin" haiga (a Bashô haiku illustrated by our own Kuniharu Shimizu). We plan on adding to the t-shirt collection with each release of haijinx, so you can now order a t-shirt of the "fin" haiga from haijinx II:1 (spring 2002). This time it is a Buson haiku again illustrated by Kuniharu Shimizu. Ah, but there is more. There are two new products. You can also order a tote bag or a tile coaster with either haiga. All of these products come from cafepress.com. Since we had the designs, we thought we'd offer them to our readers without any markup. We do not make a dime on these, but we would love for you to have one. For the t-shirts, the front pocket position uses our round logo (see the bottom of this page) with our URL added below. For the back, we use either of the haiga with the name of the author (Bashô or Buson) and the artist (our own Kuniharu Shimizu) added. If you'd like to see the actual graphics a bit larger, click here. People have been pretty happy with the white t-shirts of the Bashô haiga. We stopped selling the ash gray ones as they didn't seem to wear as well. On the white shirt, the new Buson image is just a tad greener than the web version. The tote bags are nice, about the size we expected. We're not sure how well they will weather, but they look good now. We are pretty surprised with the tile coasters. Those look real good except that the Japanese on the Bashô image is just a touch blurry. So, these order forms will take you to the cafepress.com website. They handle everything. They take the payment, print the shirts, ship the shirts, etc. We cannot help you with your order once you place it with cafepress.com. The order is a transaction between you and them. If you would rather order directly from their site, here is the Bashô store and here is the Buson store.
