Jerry Dreesen started writing poetry 40 years ago; his haiga practice began in 2002.

Jerry’s haiga have been published in Simply Haiku, Moments, Reeds, Mindfire Revisited, Daily Haiga and Haiga-On-Line as well as print journals such as the Gator Springs Gazette, Artella and the White LotusJerry is formerly the Haiga Editor of Simply Haiku.

Jerry’s work is in demand at exhibits and he has received private commissions from throughout the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Europe and Japan.

In April 2010, Jerry became the haijinx artist-in-residence and joined the haijinx quarterly as editor for haiga for the 2010 issue.
