Roberta Beary lives in Washington, DC.
Roberta’s poetry has been published and anthologized worldwide, including several editions of the Red Moon Anthology. She has often been honored with awards, including, for books: Finalist, William Carlos Williams Poetry Book Award of the Poetry Society of America (2008); Winner, Snapshot Press Book Award (2006); Winner, Kanterman Merit Book Award of the Haiku Society of America (2007,2008,2009.) Her awards for poems include the Kusamakura Grand Prize (Japan); Brady Senryu Contest 1st Prize (Haiku Society of America); Haiku International Contest 1st Prize (Japan); Penumbra Haiku Contest 1st Prize (USA); Tokutomi Haiku Award 1st Prize (USA), Yamadero Basho Distinguished Prize (Japan); Lilliput Review Basho Prize (USA); Modern Haiku Journal-Best of Issue awards, Modern Haiku Pushcart Prize nominee.
